Maybe you already were planning on doing this, but when you release the 1.0 version then definitely bring out the fact that the core game (Crysis Wars) is free and the official Casus Belli server has no CD-key check.

On your ModDB page for example there's not a single word about it. I'm 110% sure that if more people knew this then we would have had a lot more people in the beta.

So when you release 1.0 on ModDB then it will definitely be on the "hottest news" section on the frontpage and a lot of people are going to check it out and when they see that it's free + these ridiculously awesome maps + weapons etc. then I think at least 80% are going to try it out

This is a bit complicated as we cannot say it officially.
I'm not sure we have the right to do that even if we just had to use the Windows Firewall.

Also we've been thinking of making a CW+patch1.5+CB setup, but we need to wait for Crytek to say "yes" (or no :/)

Did you ask Crytek only about the CW+patch1.5+CB setup or did you also ask about the "no-cd key check" servers? Like are they actually legal or so and can you advertise your mod with them?
