Indeed I misread your post. Yet, skipping lines would have made it easier to read I guess.

Anyway, if running the batch file does not work, that means that you did not install Casus Belli in the right place. I never read anyone complaining about not being able to run CB as long as the mod was installed in the right directory.

So, to make sure everything's OK, please can you check you have the following files paths:

<Crysis Wars Installation Directory>\Bin32\Crysis.exe
<Crysis Wars Installation Directory>\Mods\casusbelli\Launcher.exe

For example, for my Steam version, I have:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\crysis wars\Bin32\Crysis.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\crysis wars\Mods\casusbelli\Launcher.exe

If you do have all the files in the right directories and that it does not work, then send me a PM so that we can share our Skype IDs for a realtime help.

Sorry, I don't have a Skype or mic Sad I checked again to make sure that everything is in the right directory. What I noticed though is that before I got to Crysis.exe in my Crysis Wars directory, there were a few folders I had to go through. I had to click on data before getting to Bin32, and then after clicking on Bin32 I had to go through two folders with random letters and numbers for names before getting to Crysis.exe. If this is not how it's supposed to be, then maybe this is the problem? It could be, but I'm not sure if it is because I am sure I did not install incorrectly. I followed all instructions carefully and used the download link for Crysis Wars that this website provides rather than a random link.

I guess you did not install Crysis Wars properly.

A normal CW install should more or less contain the following folders. There's no weird names for the files nor the folders:

/Bin32/ (including Crysis.exe)
/Game/
/PB/ (optionnal)
/Tools/
/Support/
/Mods/casusbelli/ (incl. Launcher.exe)
/LogBackups/
/Game.log

Edit: you'll find below a screenshot of my own Steam Crysis Wars installation folder:

What should I do? Should I just edit the directory so that Bin32 is in the same level of folders as the other folders or do I have to reinstall? I think that if I reinstall, the same thing will happen again. I did reinstall Crysis Wars once before when trying to get this to work and both times I installed, I got the extra folders.

That's weird indeed. By "installing Crysis Wars" you mean you run the setup.exe, don't you?

Yes, that is what I did each time. But after thinking about this, I realize that there may be a problem with what I did; I extracted the rar for the Crysis Wars trial after the download was complete. Is this indeed a problem or is it not?

That´s your problem. You have ONLY unwrapped a rar file, but not installed CrysisWars yet.

Just follow this movie from here:

Uhh, no, I said I ran setup.exe after extracting. I went through the actual installation process twice. The official installer for the trial came up and I actually installed the trial. I uninstalled one time because I thought I skipped a step from the video that I already watched multiple times before you ever showed it to me.

Man, I really wish people would just read and not skim. Skimming through a post results in people making embarrassing mistakes.

Skip your last lines. 99% of the ppl. in this forums have working CB installations.. a few of us try to help you with YOUR installation in order to help YOU with YOUR troubles as OURS is just working fine and we play it as we wish to.

Remember this all the time.

I actually tried to, like you did, unrar/unzip the CW packed file, resulting in the same error here then you descibe with your bin32 and numbered folders.
Then find me and quote your post where you actually state that you after you unrared/unzippid the trial version you were god to go.

Once more - follow the video and you just can´t get it wrong - alternative, use the You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Desura version.

Kolz is right. If you want some help from the devs or the community guys, better off not being too much condescending in your replies Wink Remember that most of us work on CB on our spare time.

Anyway, you forcibly have something wrong with your CW installation as it does not work.
We are not Crytek nor EA representatives, hence we can't provide any CW-related support.

Did you try to download the Crysis Wars Trial from another mirror or something?
Also, before you do so, try to run the setup.exe with administrator rights (right-click, "run as administrator").

I wanted to avoid it, but I may just go through with the Desura installation. I don't like downloading extra stuff but I think I'll do that. I followed the video exactly and got the weird extra folders and such, which I guess isn't supposed to happen but yeah it did happen. I also used the mirror provided in the video and also on this website for downloading CW, so that's not really the reason why my CW was installed wrong. Thank you for your help guys, though it was a bit silly seeing people giving me advice that I already said I tried  Grin Sorry for appearing mean to you guys, I was trying to show some restraint in the way I talked but I guess I still ended up being mean Tongue
