I wouldn't at all be surprised if it was this damned processor. It's been nothing but trouble since I got it in some ways, like I mentioned earlier, people who play Mass Effect 1 with it like me have some really bad graphical glitches and such.

I really hope AMD steps up somehow. In the mean time, hopefully we can get this fixed and play some Casus Belli. :3

EDIT: Good news, guys! The x64 dll works! I managed to get into the menu and set settings and such. Have to say I love the menu music, but it restarts when you press buttons. Tongue

Dolphineye figured it out! The DLL he compiled works, anyone else who is running an FX-4100 processor like us, this is the solution. He created a specific DLL and Batch file combination that runs the game perfectly, I didn't run into any errors. Thankyou so much for taking the time to assist us Dolphineye, we appreciate it! See you all on the battlefield!  Grin

Great news!

So bellow is the solution I gave them.
Keep in mind this is an unofficial fix for those who have the game crashing in 32 bits mode with their FX-4100 processor.

  • Download this file: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
  • Extract all the files into your casusbelli directory
  • Run Run Casus Belli x64.bat

I gotta warn you that picking ammo from an ammobox with the x64 DLL will make you crash!
Edit: it looks like that picking an ammobox in x64 won't crash any more. I can't tell why but this is good news.

Thanks for the help, you may want to add this to the manual or downloads page so you don't get any repeats of our whole situation. There's a lot of advertising for the mod on the Battlefield 3 forums and I have a feeling some new players might have the same issue. Love the game! :3

I am having the same issue and i have

Amd Fx-4100
16 GB Ram
Windows 7 x64
Gtx 560 ti

this probably had to do with the processor, I can run my crysis by deleting the Bin32 and then changing the name of the Bin64 into Bin32. But whenever i try to play casus belli it says i need the Dll for Visual Studios Redistributable  2010 Sp1. And thats it a Dll would be awesome.

Hello,

If I'm correct the Crysis Wars trial does not include a Bin64 folder.
I don't know if the Crysis Wars 1.5 patch adds the Bin64 folder or not.

Changing the name from Bin64 to Bin32 is definitely not the good solution. It won't work.

So, question: did you install in order:

Crysis Wars Trial
Crysis Wars v1.5 patch
Casus Belli 1.0
Casus Belli 1.1 + the x64 unofficial fix provided on the forum
(optionnal) Casus Belli 1.2 beta

In the worst case, you may be waiting for the final Casus Belli 1.2 release which should be out tomorrow.

Cheers
