It's definetely refreshing just to have fun playing, but i am one that wants to invest more time into this mod and check my progression from stats.

It would be awesome if your squads highest rank man could be squad leader:D

Simple stats/rank could be a server-side plugin i don't know (like in CS 1.6 when you type /rank)
But even if your rank is high, you would not have better stuff or perks than a newbie Wink

I agree and don't think it's needed at this point in time. I would think the devs are already up to their necks in regards to gameplay issues/changes that could be tweaked/improved at this stage. Already an excellent job!!! but there are some aspects for improvement and I would like them to concentrate on those rather than beginning a stats system, upon which I for one, wouldn't really care about anyway. Nice idea, but perhaps in the future and not at this time I think would be best.

i like to play without ranking systems like bc2, bf3 or cod is using it.
it's more fun for me... please don't implement a kill death rate.

i think a working serverbanner is much more important right now. so we can take a look at the banner to see if someone is playing. instead of starting the game for nothing...
i also would like to post it on some sites.

sorry, back to topic now. Wink

well there could be a rank system for time being on the battlefield, which would actually makes more sense then get a higher rank with monster kills, lol.

But it would be rather something for the future, the priorities are somewhere else atm Wink

Please NO RANKS!

At least, don't go all stat happy. I like the PTFO style now.

Slower more tactical team based gaming. TO be honest this is a hold over until Groundbranch and Takedown get up and running.

But...

If this gains a real old school player base, I am in for the long haul.

The problem I have with ranking sytsmes is the fact, that it mostly distracts the gameplay mechanics. In BC2 the people forget to move their to the flags (core mechanic of all BF games), because "Oh no, I won't move my ass to the flag, because it is too dangerous and I could get a bad K/D and then I won't get my super ultra platin star ribbon in gold"  Grin

I really like it as it is in CB: people are concentrating on the gameplay and the objectives ingame. I for one would remove the counted deaths and just give information about the kills and the overall points. Maybe some info about the teamplay points would be cool as (captured flags etc.). But this is only a minor detail atm.

Ranks would be good I think, and help balance out the ingame. so it is not all vets on 1 side.
Remeber this game is fairly small with more new people coming in all the time. Its good to be able to hang around with people who have obviously played a lot.

It would be good if EACH class had its own ranks. So I could be a rank 10 support but only rank 2 Assualt.
Not stats just ranks.

I think if there would be a rank system, it would be not build on kills and points in the game. Too many games are doing that and look where it leads the teamplay and such to.

A rank shall show how experienced he is with the game. Maybe a good idea would be to have the forum Rank display in the game. Because people who are on our forum a lot are like veterans, they help out and they learn and are also very active. So if you see a Seargent on a map. He got some experience cos he is active on the forum and plays the game a lot.

Just an Idea though, currently there are no plans for a ranking system as far as I know.

I don't see ranks as necessary. A good and fun game is though. If we look at other games, then a stat system like BF2 is the best one, because it displayed the team effort u had made more then your selfish efforts like K/D. If we look at BF3/MW3 and alot of other F2P games then we can see they display almost only your K/D and how well u have made and not for your team.
