Disclaimer: I hope this isn't viewed as advertising of our community. We hate advertising just as much as the next guy and that's not the intention of this post. Rather, we'd just like to inform the Casus Belli community about an upcoming event and see if anyone is interested in participating. However, just to be safe we've talked to your moderators and we've been given a green light to post this. Thanks!

Hi Casus Belli community! I'm one of the moderators over at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login We are a community that collectively nominates, votes on, and selects three games to play each week. The user-driven voting system works to highlight dead or inactive games (but it also allows for popular games to be played occasionally), and prevent objectively crappy titles from being chosen. Casus Belli was officially You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login (along with Super Monday Night Combat and Unreal Tournament 2004) which is why I'm here! Cheesy

We will be playing Casus Belli throughout the week, just by spontaneous matches here and there. There will also be a special "focus time" event on Friday, May 18th, at 8:00 PM EDT. Generally lasting a few hours, focus times are essentially coordinated get-together times, and there's one for each game. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login for a thorough explanation of our focus times.

We'd like to encourage you to come and game with us throughout the week, and if possible, attend our focus time event on Friday. You can swing by our Steam chat (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) to see if anybody is actively playing. We'd also be thrilled if some of you could provide any tips or advice a typical gamer might need in the Casus Belli You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. Finally, on the off-chance that anyone owns a server that they'd be willing to password-protect for a few hours on Friday we'd be more than grateful -- usually we can provide our own servers but every now and then we need a little help. Post in this thread or PM me if you're able and willing.

Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions or comments on the event, how our community operates, or what it's like being a ninja -- which I unfortunately know nothing about, but it's fun to speculate… Wink

8 p.m. EST collides a little with my sleep habits (3 a.m. here, GMT+2) ;-)
But i will definitely be playing during the week, after 8 p.m. (1 p.m. EST), as is most of the community, so we'll probably meet ingame Cheesy
no guarantees for the correctness of time calculations ;-)

FYI, Eastern United States now operates under Daylight Savings Time -- EDT, and thus:

EDT = GMT-4

@evilhackman:

8:00 PM EDT = 2:00 AM GMT+2
2:00 PM EDT = 8:00 PM GMT+2

@fabiolo:

8:00 PM EDT = 1:00 AM GMT+1

Hope this helps. If you're still confused, check out You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. Smiley

If you're talking about the "focus time" then it won't actually start on Friday in UK, it starts on Saturday at 1 AM.

That's an awful time, especially for me. So I won't be seeing you guys unfortunately

I hope you'll have a blast playing CB Smiley

If I got it, it would make either 00.00 on Friday (UK time) or 01.00 Saturday.

0rpheus is right, if your timezone is UTC+1 like I think it is, then it'll be 1:00 AM on Saturday (5/19).

Bummer, looks like much of the CB community are European players -- Playdate caters primarily to a North American audience! D:

It's good, if it can give visibility to North America.

Less than 90 minutes to go! Just a fair warning that our community is unfortunately much smaller than the numbers say, and in some rare, bizarre situations we've had no-shows for focus times. People seem to be excited for tonight so I really hope that it'll go well, but let's just be prepared for that possibility.

Unfortunately I'm on a Mac and cannot play, but it looks like a great game and I hope you all have a blast tonight! Cheesy

We're ingame  but it looks like there are not many US players on it.
